Local Tennis Professional Rick Ostlund Honored at International Tennis Symposium

On Wednesday February 23rd, Rick Ostlund will receive an award for 25 years of service as a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified Professional. This award will be presented at the annual PTR International Tennis Symposium Recognition Breakfast, sponsored by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The award ceremony will by held at the Crown Plaza Resort adjacent to the PTR International Head Quarters on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. PTR is the largest global tennis teaching organization with more than 10,700 members in 123 countries.

Rick has taught tennis on the Outer Banks for over thirty years. After ten years as Head Pro at the Sea Ranch, he began the tennis program at Pine Island Racquet and Fitness Center where he is currently Head Pro and Director of Tennis. Rick is admired for his flawless technique, great sense of humor, and unique ability to make tennis fun for everyone. He has published over 400 tennis tips, with several published in Tennis Magazine, and continues to write tips for local publications.
