The special ambiance of the peaceful oceanfront setting coupled with elegant meeting facilities contributes to a whole new outlook on conferences at The Sanderling. Located on one of the narrowest points on North Carolina's Outer Banks, The Sanderling's Conference Center provides meeting space for groups of 10 to 100 and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound.

THE CONFERENCE CENTER

The Sanderling, a member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), provides groups with a premier conference center, removed from the daily activity of the resort to allow privacy and concentration on the task at hand. However, the conference facility is within easy walking distance of all the resort's amenities so when work is over, recreation can begin.

The Board Room can accommodate up to 15 people optimum for a meeting or a meal, and is tastefully decorated with nautical antiques and Audubon prints.

The Swan and Heron Rooms, both of which open up onto a private oceanside deck for breaks, can be set up separately into the following configurations:

Reception: 30 - 50
Banquet: 20 - 50
Theatre: 30 - 40
U-Shape: 15 -25
Hollow Square: 15 - 25
Board Room: 15 - 20
School Room: 20 - 25

The two rooms can also be joined for larger groups.

All rooms are furnished with ergonomically designed chairs for maximum comfort; hard writing surface tables; adjustable lighting and individual climate controls; and state-of-the-art audiovisual and sound systems.

Continuous coffee and snack breaks are set-up in the foyer. Banquet service is available in each meeting room, and special food and beverage arrangements can be made on the secluded outside decks.
Upstairs is a private executive suite with decks and views of both ocean and sound, for private receptions or small, informal meetings.

The Sanderling's exceptional staff is dedicated to anticipate any group's possible need, and responds with uncommon courtesy. Many custom options are available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and receptions. Options range from breakfast buffets, working lunches or box lunches to exciting themed dinners.
