The Sanderling's breathtaking formal dining room, located on the sound side of the resort, offers spectacular views of the Currituck Sound. Drawing inspiration for its name from both The Left Bank of Paris, France and its geographical orientation on the Outer Banks.

The Left Bank serves French-inspired, contemporary American cuisine complemented by a carefully selected award winning collection of fine wines. The menu is a constantly changing format to reflect the seasons and offers 3 or 7 course chef’s tasting menu. The chef’s tasting menu is created by Chef de Cuisine Joel Sardinha and his talented staff. The Left Bank was awarded “ Cream of the Crop “ 2003 by Washington Post, holds two Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence, recently won Culinary Hospitality Restaurant of the Year at the Sante Awards, and has been featured in the 2004 August addition of Food and Wine Magazine.

An intimate 60-seat dining room, The Left Bank's interior design features an exhibition kitchen, beautiful fabrics and furnishings, custom cherry millwork and a museum-quality collection of porcelain Doughty birds on display.

Dinner Reservation Requests
For reservation requests to dine in The Left Bank, please fill out our Online Pre-Arrival concierge form or call 1-800-701-4111 Ext. 133 (before 4:00pm) or call 252-261-8419 (after 4:00pm). Please contact us 3 days in advance of desired reservation. When requesting your reservation, please include the number of people in your party and specify whether you will be an in-house guest or just stopping by to enjoy a delicious meal. If you are not staying at the Resort you must provide a credit card number to confirm your reservation.

We will contact you to confirm the dates you requested or if the desired time is not available, we will suggest other available times. Your reservation is not guaranteed until we contact you and confirm the dates.

The menu, created for a sophisticated palate is recommended for adults expecting a memorable fine dining experience. Young adults 13 and older are welcome.
